Timothy Chibuzo Obiezu is a dynamic multimedia journalist and television host with a decade of experience telling stories that shape perception and inspire change. Through his work with leading international platforms such as Voice of America and TRT World, he has consistently elevated underreported African narratives—bringing local stories to the global stage with clarity, context, and impact.
He is the founder of ỊDEKỌ AFRICA, a bold media company dedicated to capturing the true essence of Africa through authentic storytelling, compelling podcasts, and strategic brand storytelling. “ỊDEKỌ,” which means “to capture” in the Nigerian Igbo language, reflects his unwavering commitment to truth, representation, and innovation in African media.
Beyond journalism, Timothy is a vocal advocate for mental health—particularly among African men. He facilitated Man Enough To Heal 1.0, a groundbreaking panel session that challenged toxic masculinity and created space for emotional healing. His youth-focused initiative, The Unstoppable Breed (TUB), empowers young Africans with life skills, confidence, and what he calls “tough-minded optimism”—a mindset that blends realism with resilience and hope.
