FIFA Introduces Championship Rings for World Cup Winners
FIFA has announced that the winners of the 2026 World Cup will receive championship rings, marking a new addition to the tournament’s traditional awards.

In addition to lifting the World Cup trophy and receiving gold medals, the victorious team will be presented with specially designed rings to commemorate their achievement. The initiative reflects an effort to incorporate elements of recognition commonly seen in other major sporting competitions.
A total of 2,026 rings have been produced to mark the tournament. Of these, a select number will be reserved for members of the winning team, while the remainder will be made available as official memorabilia for supporters.
The rings are set to include distinctive design features linked to the competition, along with personalised elements representing the champions. Each piece will also be uniquely numbered and accompanied by certification.
Initial versions of the rings are expected to be presented during post-match celebrations, with final customised editions later distributed to players and team officials.
The move introduces an additional layer of recognition for World Cup winners, expanding the range of honours associated with football’s most prestigious tournament.
