Governor Sanwo-Olu Directs Enforcement of Order Along Lagos-Badagry Highway
The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has directed the full clearance and strict regulation of activities along the Lagos-Badagry highway, underscoring its strategic importance as a major transport corridor in Nigeria. The directive was given during an inspection of the route, where the governor assessed environmental conditions and engaged with traders and residents operating along the axis.

He emphasised that the highway serves as a key link connecting Lagos to Badagry and neighbouring regions, making it essential to maintain free movement and prevent obstructions. The governor noted that unregulated trading and other activities along the road hinder traffic flow and compromise safety, stressing the need for compliance with established environmental and traffic regulations.
Sanwo-Olu also assured stakeholders that the state government remains committed to supporting lawful business activities by promoting organised trading spaces and sustaining dialogue with affected communities. He called for cooperation in maintaining cleanliness and order, adding that ongoing monitoring would ensure adherence to standards aimed at improving accessibility, safety, and overall urban management in Lagos State.
