Iran Accuses United States of Heightening Regional Tensions Amid Ongoing Conflict

Iran’s military leadership has accused the United States of intensifying tensions in the Middle East, warning regional countries against aligning with Washington as hostilities continue.

Iran Accuses United States of Heightening Regional Tensions Amid Ongoing Conflict

A senior Iranian military official stated that recent actions by the United States are contributing to a worsening security situation, cautioning that any nation supporting U.S. operations could face serious consequences if the conflict escalates further.

The remarks follow renewed threats from U.S. President Donald Trump, who has indicated the possibility of further military action against Iran, reportedly including potential strikes on key infrastructure.

Fighting between the two sides resumed earlier in the week after a brief lull, with both countries engaging in exchanges of fire. However, there were no confirmed attacks overnight leading into Saturday.

The current conflict traces back to late February, when coordinated strikes by the United States and Israel targeted sites in Iran. Tehran has since responded with missile and drone attacks across parts of the region, raising concerns about a broader escalation.

The situation remains volatile, with continued military activity and heightened rhetoric fuelling fears of a prolonged and wider regional confrontation.
