Nigerian Air Force Clears air as Helicopter Makes Precautionary Landing on Benue Farm
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) says one of its helicopters made a precautionary landing on a farm in Benue State after completing a mission targeting suspected kidnappers.

The helicopter had provided close air support to surface forces operating in the Ogbadigbo area, near the Enugu–Benue boundary. The NAF said the operation disrupted the activities of the suspected kidnappers and supported the advance of ground troops.
According to the NAF, the pilot made the precautionary landing while returning to base, approximately 10 nautical miles from the airfield, using his professional discretion and in line with established operational and safety procedures following combat missions.
The helicopter has since returned to base. The NAF did not report any casualties or damage associated with the landing.
The force said it would continue coordinated air and ground operations to disrupt criminal activities and protect communities in affected areas.
