BREAKING: 20 NYSC Prospective Corps Members Regain Freedom in Imo
Twenty prospective National Youth Service Corps members and another passenger abducted along the Owerri-Onitsha Road in Imo State have regained their freedom.

The victims were reportedly travelling to different NYSC orientation camps when they were abducted by gunmen along the highway. They are now receiving medical attention at the Department of State Services (DSS) Hospital in Owerri.
Their release follows days of security operations aimed at locating the victims and their abductors. Earlier, authorities said security agencies had identified the suspected location where the victims were being held and deployed personnel to secure their rescue.
The incident has renewed concerns over the safety of prospective corps members travelling to orientation camps, particularly along major highways in southeastern Nigeria.
Authorities have yet to disclose details of any arrests or the circumstances surrounding the release, including whether a ransom was paid.
