Police Search Intensifies for Suspect in Monaco Parcel Bombing

Authorities in Monaco have launched an international manhunt for a Ukrainian national suspected of carrying out a parcel bomb attack that left three people injured earlier this week.

Investigators allege that the 39-year-old suspect placed an explosive package at the entrance of a residential building before leaving the scene. The device detonated shortly after, injuring a businessman, his partner and their teenage son. The two adults sustained serious injuries, while the child was treated for minor wounds.

Law enforcement officials believe the suspect may have disguised her appearance during the operation and could have conducted surveillance on the location prior to the attack. Preliminary findings also suggest the possibility that others may have been involved.

Following the incident, the suspect is believed to have fled Monaco and travelled through neighbouring countries. An international alert has been issued to facilitate her arrest, with security agencies across Europe cooperating in the search.

German authorities confirmed that a property linked to the suspect and a vehicle believed to have been used in her escape have been searched, with evidence collected and shared with investigators in Monaco.

Officials have not formally identified the victims, though reports indicate the intended target may have been a wealthy individual with business interests in the region. The motive for the attack remains under investigation.

Monaco authorities have condemned the incident and assured the public that efforts are ongoing to apprehend those responsible and determine the full circumstances surrounding the explosion.
