Abuja Set to Host Global Investment Summit in 2026 as World Leaders Expected

Nigeria is preparing to host a major international investment gathering in Abuja in 2026, an event expected to draw heads of state, top government officials, and global business leaders from different parts of the world.

Abuja Set to Host Global Investment Summit in 2026 as World Leaders Expected

The World Investment Summit is scheduled for June 24 to 26, 2026, and is projected to bring together about 127 heads of state and government leaders, alongside ministers, deputy ministers, representatives of international organisations, and private sector executives.

Organisers of the summit say the goal is to strengthen global investment ties and attract large foreign direct investment into Nigeria. The event is also expected to serve as a platform where governments and investors can meet, discuss policies, and agree on development-focused partnerships.

Nigeria was selected as host country due to its economic size in Africa and ongoing policy reforms aimed at improving the investment climate. The organisers also linked the decision to the country’s ambition to grow its economy significantly in the coming years.

The summit is expected to focus on investment opportunities across key sectors of the economy and is projected to attract thousands of participants. Officials say it could lead to new investment commitments, job creation, and increased international attention on Nigeria as an emerging investment destination.
