Popular Nigerian actor Alexx Ekubo has reportedly passed away, according to multiple reportsciting family sources, after an alleged battle with liver cancer. He was reportedly 40 years old.

The actor had remained largely absent from social media since December 2024, fueling speculation among fans about his health and a possible return to the screen.

Known for his versatility, charisma, and striking screen presence, Ekubo became one of Nollywood’s most recognizable faces through a string of hit films and television appearances. His charm and fashion sense also earned him a massive fan base across Africa and beyond.

As of now, no official statement has been released by his management or immediate family confirming the reports.
