Footballer Arrested on Suspicion of Drug-Driving After Motorway Crash
English footballer Raheem Sterling has been arrested following an alleged drug-driving incident after his car was involved in a crash on a motorway in southern England.

Reports indicate that the 31-year-old was driving a Lamborghini when it reportedly struck roadside barriers along the M3 in Hampshire on Thursday morning. Police confirmed that the incident involved no other vehicles and did not result in any injuries.
Authorities stated that the driver was arrested on suspicion of several offences, including driving while impaired by drugs, dangerous driving, possession of a controlled substance, and failure to provide a required specimen. He has since been released on bail as investigations into the matter continue.
Although he has not been formally charged, individuals close to the player acknowledged the arrest, while also insisting that there is no confirmed evidence suggesting the presence of drugs.
Sterling, who recently featured briefly for Dutch side Feyenoord, has experienced a challenging period in his career in recent years, including limited game time at club level.
The forward previously spent four years at Chelsea after a successful spell at Manchester City, where he won multiple league titles. He has also earned more than 80 appearances for the England national team, with his most recent international involvement coming at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Police say inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident are still ongoing.
