Nigeria Rules Out Ebola in Two Suspected Cases in Yola After Two Rounds of Tests
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) says two suspected Ebola cases in Yola, Adamawa State, have tested negative after two rounds of laboratory testing.

NCDC Director-General Jide Idris said in a statement on Saturday that the report reached the Adamawa Public Health Emergency Operations Centre in the early hours of Friday, after two individuals showed symptoms suggestive of Ebola. The two were isolated while investigations began. The agency says the confirmed case in the Federal Capital Territory remains the only confirmed infection in Nigeria. The NCDC is now tracking 62 contacts linked to that case.
The agency advised anyone with fever, severe weakness, headache, muscle pain, vomiting, diarrhoea or unexplained bleeding to seek immediate medical attention. It also urged Nigerians to remain calm, avoid circulating unverified reports and rely on official channels for information.
