The audit, which assesses countries’ compliance with global aviation safety standards, reflects improvements in regulatory oversight, operational safety, and adherence to international best practices.

Aviation authorities say the milestone underscores ongoing reforms in Nigeria’s aviation sector, including enhanced monitoring systems, better-trained personnel, and stronger institutional frameworks.

Industry stakeholders have welcomed the development, noting that the improved rating could boost investor confidence, strengthen international partnerships, and enhance the country’s reputation in global aviation.

Experts add that maintaining the score will require sustained investment, continuous regulatory enforcement, and alignment with evolving international safety requirements.
